The Huntsville Police Department is investigating allegations of misconduct by one of its officers. The officer in question has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Huntsville Police say they are conducting a thorough and complete investigation.  It 's the policy of the HPD not to discuss ongoing investigations.

It's that time of year, time for the Sidewalk Arts Stroll in downtown Huntsville starting May 19th on the Courthouse square!

There will be fashion shows, dance and music starting at 4:30pm.  This is the seventh year of the Sidewalk Arts Stroll and will kick off with a welcome back to the square celebration.

The power outage that affected a large portion of northern Madison County on Tuesday, May 10, has raised concerns by customers about the current status and stability of the electric system.

The connection to the TVA system is still fragile and will remain that way for a number of weeks. While repairs to the TVA system continue, Huntsville Utilities has no plans to schedule blackouts or rolling outages.
