Huntsville man stabbed in North Carolina

Early Friday morning 22-year-old Christopher Michael Daniels of Huntsville was stabbed in the throat at a convenience store in Greenville, North Carolina.

Officers found Daniels lying in the parking lot. He was transported by ambulance with life threatening injuries.

NBC News Partner WITN spoke with Greenville Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Carton Williams. Sgt. Williams said detectives have determined the fight between the groups of people started at another location downtown.

'Tis pothole season in Huntsville

Have you noticed your bumpy ride to home or work is only getting worse?

That's because crews haven't been able to get out and patch and pave due to inclement weather. Pot holes, broken asphalt, and ruts in the road cover city and county streets.

Paving crews really have their work cut out for them.

"It's pothole season. We had a lot of snow and rain create potholes.

The move will impact traffic on Stringfield Road, Jordan/Patton, Drake Avenue, Triana Boulevard., Johnson/Airport Road, South Memorial Parkway. Access Road, Martin Road, and South Memorial Parkway. The move will begin at 9:00 am.

Challengers from around the world compete in NASA Great Moonbuggy Race

More than 80 high school, college and university student teams from 22 states and Puerto Rico, and international challengers from six countries, including returning teams from Canada, India and Germany and -- for the first time -- racers from Ethiopia, Pakistan and Russia will battle through a challenging course of moon-like terrain at the Space & Rocket Center.

The 18th annual NASA Great Moonbuggy Race will be held April 1-2.

City of Huntsville launches intern class

As the summer approaches, the City of Huntsville is looking for bright young men and women to serve as interns. With the City of Huntsville's internship program approaching its two year anniversary, Mayor Tommy Battle will announce that applications are being accepted for students wishing to participate in the program's Intern Class V. The deadline to apply to be a part of Intern Class V is Apiril 15th.

The student internship program is scheduled to begin June 1st and end July 29th. The eight week program will benefit as many as fifty college students.
