Decatur police questioned a Huntsville teen after they say he made terrorist threats to Austin High School.
Austin High School administrators discovered a phone message that was left on the school message system when they arrived at school Wednesday morning.
The caller left the message around 5:30 Tuesday evening and threatened to "blow up the school." Police say the message was very vague and provided no more details.
Detectives traced the anonymous caller's phone number and discovered that a 15-year-old boy from Huntsville left the message. Police say the teen had an acquaintance enrolled at Austin High School, but that student was not involved with and was unaware of the threats that had been made.
After interviewing the suspect, detectives determined that the bomb threat was a hoax and no one had ever been in danger. The case will be referred to the Morgan County Juvenile Court.
