Stream it: 'You Can't Do That on Television'

There has been a movement as of late to bring back classic shows from the "first kids' network," Nickelodeon. A major coup came when spinoff channel TeenNick created "The '90s are All That" two years ago, highlighting sporadic reruns of great fare like Rocko's Modern Life and The Secret World of Alex Mack.

However, the one big "get" for Nick nerds like myself has been You Can't Do That on Television. Considered the holy grail by kids of the '80s, You Can't is the program that brought Green Slime to the masses.

Cheers for Craft Beer: Tasting and Pairing Beer like a Boss

Cheers for Craft Beer: Tasting and Pairing Beer like a Boss

In honor of the Homebrew bill being signed into law by Governor Bentley, I am going to impart some knowledge on how to get the most out of your craft beer experience!

I sat down to talk/eat/drink with craft beer connoisseur and level one cicerone, Rich Partain.  So what’s a cicerone?  It’s the beer world's version of a wine Sommelier for experts who love and are passionate about beer.  They can pair beer with foods to that make your taste buds stand up and shout, “Hooray!”  There are different levels and you can only take classes in certain places.  Fancy, right?!

So when you go to the Rocket City Brewfest, there are a few tips that Rich suggests.

Proposed arts district with relaxed drinking laws may open soon

The two districts will be open under the relaxed open container laws from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A
transformation of downtown Huntsville is in the works for this summer. The idea
is to turn portions of the city's center into "arts and
entertainment districts" where people can legally walk around with an
alcoholic beverage in hand.

The larger of the two districts
covers the heart of downtown, stretching from Holmes Avenue down to Gates
Avenue and over to Big Spring Park. It also includes the Von Braun Center, the
Holiday Inn and Embassy Suites, as well as the Huntsville Museum of Art. This
area is being called the Quigley District.

The second and smaller district
centers around Bud Cramer Park and the nearby bars and restaurants, such as
Furniture Factory Bar and Grill, and Lone Goose Saloon.

The city will have the district
boundaries clearly marked with signs.

Employees take day off to serve others

One group stopped at the CASA Community Garden to pull weeds and plant vegetables.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Keller Williams Realty employees took Thursday off, but they didn't spend it sitting around. They spent the day giving back in the Tennessee Valley.

One group stopped at the CASA Community Garden to pull weeds and plant vegetables. The garden is maintained by volunteers year round. All of the fruits and vegetables that are grown in the garden are delivered to homebound people in Madison County.

Another group went to the Hope Place of Huntsville and fixed it up. Hope Place is a safe facility for someone in an abusive situation to turn to. The group pressure washed awnings, ripped up carpet, and painted.

Employees also helped out at Burritt on the Mountain, Wall at the Well, and read to kids through Huntsville City Schools' reading program.
