MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Mei Wei Asian Bistro in Huntsville scored a 79 during their recent inspection.
A Madison County health inspector reported two critical violations, one for raw meats being held too warm. The inspector reported raw chicken at 54 degrees and raw beef at 62 degrees. Both items were above the maximum 41 degree temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding foods. The inspector also reported there were open employee drinks on surfaces where they prepare food and stored above food.
Cajun Café in Lacey's Spring scored an 81 with the Morgan County Health Department. The health inspector reported a septic tank overflowed leaving sewage on the ground.
The Outback Steakhouse in Sheffield scored an 83. The Colbert County Health Department reported two critical violations, one for roaches found near the area where employees pour drinks for customers. Outback also lost points because the ice machine needed cleaned.
