Calhoun prepares Huntsville integration ceremony | Arts & Culture
Huntsville is preparing to commemorate an important civil rights anniversary. It has been 50 years since the integration of public schools in Alabama.
Four black students entered Huntsville schools on September 9, 1963.
Calhoun Community College’s Center for the Study of Southern Political Culture is arranging a ceremony and building a display to mark the occasion.
