HPD receives sixth accreditation award | Community Spirit
Huntsville Police Chief Lewis Morris announced Wednesday that the Department has received its sixth accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The award is presented to agencies that have been successfully accredited for 15 years or longer.
Huntsville Police Department was found to be in full compliance with all 371 standards applicable to the agency. HPD is one of the few agencies in the state to be accredited by CALEA.
“Our success is due to the hard work of our employees and the Accreditation team,” said Chief Morris.
