Huntsville man arrested on drug charges

Agents arrested a man in Huntsville on drug charges and for selling alcohol without a license.

Fredie Scott, 59, was arrested at his home in Moore Avenue NW on Saturday. Agents located quantities of alcohol and marijuana inside Scott’s residence. Agents also located a handgun in the home.

Scott is being held on $1,000 bond at the Madison County Jail. Charges are still pending at this time.

Huntsville Police investigate 2 separate burglaries

Huntsville Police responded to two separate burglaries Saturday.

The first happened around 1am Saturday in the 4300 block of Barry Street in Huntsville.

The victim told police a man entered his home, produced a gun and demanded money. The offender took the victim’s wallet and fled. No injuries were reported.

The second burglary happened around 1pm Saturday in the 2200 block of Walnut Street. The victim told police that a man climbed into her bedroom window and stole items from her home. The offender fled out the front door.

No injuries were reported in either case. Police continue to investigate.

Police investigate 2 stabbings in Huntsville

Huntsville Police are investigating two separate stabbings, one involving a screwdriver.

Police responded to a call in the 4400 block of University Drive in Huntsville around 11:15pm Saturday. The victim told officers that her boyfriend stabbed her several times with a screwdriver during an altercation.

The victim was transported to the hospital by HEMSI for treatment. Her injuries were not-life threatening.

Another stabbing happened in the 2500 block of Governors Drive around 10pm. The victim told police his girlfriend stabbed him in the arm with a knife and fled before officers arrived.

The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Huntsville Police investigate armed robbery

Huntsville Police investigate armed robbery

Huntsville Police are investigating an armed robbery at a home on Julia Street. It happened just before 9pm Friday night.

Investigators said the victim told them two men came in through his front door, pulled out a gun, demanded cash, got the cash and ran away.

No arrests made yet in this case. Police continue to investigate.

Huntsville Police investigate 2 business burglaries

Police responded to two business burglaries in Huntsville overnight Saturday.

The first burglary was reported at Hi Tech Fuels on Sparkman Drive. The store’s owner told police that an unknown offender broke the metal frame on the door and stole money from the cash register.

Investigators said the second burglary happened at Line-X also on Sparkman Drive. The store’s manager told officers that someone threw a brick through the store’s front window and stole items from within the store.

Huntsville Police are continuing to investigate both cases.

Police investigate 2 overnight burglaries

Police are investigating two overnight business burglaries in Huntsville.

Officers responded to the Budget Inn on University Drive overnight Wednesday. The owner told police that someone broke into the office by breaking a window and stole property.

The second burglary reportedly happened at the T-Mobile on Whitesburg Drive. Officers found the front glass window broken out after responding to an alarm activation. According to investigators, the suspect entered the business and stole several cell phones.

No arrests have been made, both cases remain under investigation.

Police investigate overnight burglary

Police are investigating an overnight burglary in Huntsville. Investigators said it happened around 1:15am in the 500 block of Executive Drive.

A woman told police that someone she knew forced her way into her home with a box cutter. The victim said that she was able to push the offender down and flee the area. When she returned the offender was gone and several items were missing from the home.

Police are continuing to investigate.
