Suspect confesses to soup kitchen burglary | Crime
Huntsville Police have charged a man with burglary after he admitted to breaking into a soup kitchen.
Officers responded to The Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen & Thrift Store on North Memorial Parkway just before 4 p.m. Saturday. A witness had called 911 and reported a black male breaking out the front window of the business.
When officers arrived, they found a man matching the offender’s description walking away from the business. The man was detained by officers, who found cash that had been taken from the register.
28-year-old Christopher Louis Miller admitted to committing the burglary to the officers. He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.
