Shot fired into occupied home | Crime
Huntsville police reported that a shot was fired into an occupied apartment late Friday night.
Officers responded to the shooting around 11:45 p.m. on the 3400 block of Venona Avenue. The victim told officers that she heard a gunshot and noticed a bullet hole in her ceiling shortly after.
Police said they spoke with the tenant in the apartment above the victim, who said her boyfriend had been in her apartment but had just left before the police arrived.
Officers tried to find a shell casing and bullet but were unsuccessful. No arrests have been made and no injuries have been reported.
