New radio system for Madison County | Crime

Madison County emergency responders will soon begin using a new radio communication system. The Countywide Public Safety Radio System is made up of a five-site digital interoperable voice system.

The system will go on-line once final testing is done and any necessary adjustments are made.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department will be the first agency to test the system. 

"We are excited about being the first on the system. We anticipate significant improvement over our old system right off the bat,” said Sheriff Blake Dorning.

This new system will eliminate many of the dead spots in several areas of Madison County.
