NASA purchases a “Green” John Deere Gator from TriGreen Equipment

NASA purchases a “Green” John Deere Gator from TriGreen Equipment

With more and more people, agencies and companies looking to “go green” and reduce their dependency on fuel consumption, TriGreen Equipment is finding creative ways to meet the demand.

Recently, NASA’s Wellness and Recreation Center at Redstone Arsenal approached Tom Elders, Governmental Sales Specialist with TriGreen Equipment, with a unique request. They wanted a John Deere Utility Gator to carry concessions between stands and to use it to drag the softball infields. There was one stipulation.  The Gator must be environmental friendly.

Tom started with a John Deere TE Gator, a 48-volt electric utility vehicle. Next, Tom partnered with Unconcord Sun (www.unconqueredsun.com), a solar technologies company in Windsor, Canada that specializes in solar power conversion kits for golf carts. This was their first request for a John Deere Gator conversion kit.
