Rival high school teams band together for blood drive | News
MADISON, AL (WAFF)- Two Madison High School rivals joined forces Sunday for an important life-saving mission.
Cheerleaders from Bob Jones and James Clemens High Schools hosted the "Two Teams, One Community" blood drive Sunday afternoon at LifeSouth Community Blood Center in Madison.
Two days after facing each other on the football field, the two teams put their rivalries aside to help others.
District Community Development Coordinator Tamara Watts praised the team's efforts. "What they've done today is going to impact twelve hospitals in ten counties. The impact to the community is amazing."
Watts said every donation helps to save up to three lives.
