Railroad work continues on Moores Mill Rd. Wednesday | News
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The City of Huntsville's Engineering Department apologized for the miscommunication for the closure on Moores Mill Road at the railroad crossing Tuesday. The road will be closed through 5 p.m.
Railroad work will continue on Moores Mill Road on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. The contractor will close the road at the railroad crossing between US 72 and Jordan Road.
Also on Wednesday, Jordan Road between Abbottsford Road and Eula Way as well as Ryland Pike between Old Ryland Gin Road and Harming Road will be closed from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. They will also be closed on Sunday through Monday until 8 p.m.
Beginning Sunday, Dug Hill Road between Morring Road and US 72 will be closed for railroad work until Monday at 8 p.m.
Crews are closing the roads for railroad maintenance. Permanent asphalt will be installed later. There will be a detour route in place and local businesses will be accessible at all times.
