Parkway Place counter jumpers captured | News
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The four teenagers we featured on Crime Stoppers this week jumping the counter of a Parkway Place food court establishment have been identified. Because they are minors, they cannot be publicly named. But they have been interviewed by police and face burglary charges. Thank you again for another Crime Stoppers success story.
Talk about a senseless crime.
Four young people, who appear to be teenagers, are now facing burglary charges after stealing whatever they could find from a closed restaurant inside a local mall.
And we have a good look at them thanks to surveillance footage.
It happened at Charley's Subs in the food court at Parkway Place Mall in Huntsville on the morning of Aug. 21st.
The burglars jumped the counter and stole several items.
All of the stores in the mall, including the restaurant, were closed and there's no word of any money being taken. Best guess, there probably wasn't any money left overnight in the register.
You also might be wondering how these four got in the mall to start with.
Police tell us mall officials opened the mall early for "mall walkers" to come in, walking for their exercise.
These four crooks obviously weren't walking for exercise. They were looking for something to steal. And there was very little of value to steal, which makes this crime even more puzzling.
But it's still a burglary, and these four young people will still have to pay dearly for this senseless act.
