Jacob Shaffer files motion for speedy trial | News
MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Mass killer Jacob Shaffer filed a motion asking the judge for a speedy trial in Madison County.
Shaffer pleaded guilty to killing five people in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
Shaffer is awaiting trial in Madison County for the murder of Sidney Dempsey on the same day in 2009.
Shaffer submitted a hand written note to the judge asking to go to trial as soon as possible without any further continuances.
Shaffer does have an attorney, but that attorney was not listed on Shaffer's request.
His trial is currently set for April of 2013.
