HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A Huntsville woman facing theft charges is accused of stealing from her employer, a local non-profit.

Stefanie Nicole Hamilton Dryer is charged with three counts of theft. Court documents state she stole more than $10,000 from Big Spring Partners.

Big Spring Partners supports development in downtown Huntsville. Hamilton-Dryer is expected in court December 12th.

A representative of Big Spring Partners confirmed funds for the construction Veterans Park were unaccounted for following a review of accounts.

The employee responsible for those funds was allowed to resign, and the board turned information over to police. All project partners were made whole.
