HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Westminster Christian Academy's Brockway campus will have an abbreviated day on Thursday and will be closed on Friday.
This is because of a large number of flu cases at the school.
Students will go home Thursday at 11:45 a.m., and the Brockway campus will stay closed on Friday.
According to the CDC, the flu activity is already pretty high in Alabama.
Health officials predict this could be a bad flu year.
They recommend everyone six months and older to get a flu shot.
They also say to make sure you cover your cough, wash your hands frequently, and stay home when you're sick.
