Body found in woods near Spragins Hollow Road.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Huntsville Police officers found a dead man's body in the woods near Spragins Hollow Road Monday morning and arrested two people for the second homicide in Huntsville this year.

Police identified the victim as John Mark Allen of Toney.

Mercedes Lynea Douglas and Randle Earl Hewlett are charged with murder.

Investigators and the coroner were called to the scene, and the body was taken to the forensic lab for an autopsy.

Around 2 Saturday afternoon, a call came in of shots fired and a body near Arcadia Circle. Officers got to the scene, but they found only blood in the parking lot - no body.

Witness told police they saw a Cadillac leave the scene.

On Sunday, a Cadillac matching the description was found off Hollow Road in a ditch.

Police contacted Allen's wife, who said the Cadillac was his and that he had been missing.
